If we're talking about the F6 Bee its Dave Johnson Jr. from New York State. That car is #449 here in the registry his late father bought the car new, super low miles & something of a time capsule....Or does GYC have another one? undecided

I am thinking that is the one I'm asking about. My F6 green one was once owned by a man named Robert Johnson and I heard Mark Worman say the owner of the car was named Johnson. He didn't give a first name of the owner and I am trying to leave no stone unturned to find out the histuory of my car. Part of the problem is with Johnson being such a common name.

Thank you for the quick response and I will keep searching.

Update & correction: met up with Dave Johnson Jr. At the CNY Mopar Association show today. GYC is making good progress on the F6 Bee with the expectation finishing this year or possibly into the middle of next summer.
Dave showed me some pics he had and the car is ready to head to paint with a lot of other work already completed. He said he cares more about the work being completed correctly than quickly, and the pace of this project has to do with the business arrangement he made with GYC. Pictures should be forth coming.
This car was promised to Dave Jr. by his father and is being restored as a tribute to him. He also plans to someday hand it down to his own son-how cool is that! Cool
He also told me his father bought the car when it was 4 months old, not new, but close! Wink
Current mileage on the Bee is 20k. Smiley

Dave Sr. did my 18 spline trans. He mentioned to me that he had 2 A12 Super Bees at one time. Not sure what happened to the other. He owned a Speed Shop at one time and did a fair amount of Drag Racing.

The other Bee he had was a Hemi orange A12 that Dave Jr is searching for, he heard it is sitting in a garage in Baldwinsville, NY. I remember seeing that car back in the '80's at the Car Craft street machine Nationals at the NYS fairgrounds. It had widened rear wheel well openings (confirmed by Dave Jr.) pretty sure it was a radio delete 4spd car.
Dave Sr also owned a Q5 A12 road runner that he sold around '81, that car is now fully restored and lives in Baldwinsvile, NY. It is car #275 registered on this site. Wink
Dave Sr was also in partnership with the owner of an A12 Super Bee (car#230 on this site) back in the late '70's drag racing at ESTA Safety Park in Cicero, NY -that also is a Hemi orange 4spd car now fully restored. It's in the Spartanburg, SC area. Smiley
