Chris,

Shame you, or more importantly, your cars didn't make it to Carlisle for the reunion. I was looking forward to that food you promised to cook me. Sure you had your reasons for being a no show. Lots of great A12's there. Only heard one other person mention the fact you didn't show.

Anyway, I didn't see any "Put a Dodge in your Garage" discs for sale there. Thought you might want to know.

STEVE,im sorry also as i wanted to bring it but the guys at carlisle said i had to get it in the building by thursday and leave it till sunday afternoon.pllus i never got any information from them and any paperwork so i couldnt get it in the fairgrounds, they were supposed to email me or mail me the passes, never received anything.then they wanted pictures asap, emailed me a request for pictures at 2:00pm thursday and needed pictures back by 6"00pm. i couldnt since it was pouring rain.
i couldnt get there till friday and i had to leave sunday early morning to race at beaver springs.
that couldnt work for me.
also i was afraid JOHNAHAH was going to do some damage to it, while i wasnt around.
the weekend went so fast, i missed alot of the moparts guys but i still had one of the best times ever at carlisle.

I can't say how many times Carson either PM'd or emailed him, but this is one I sent on May 21.  How much hand-holding does a grown man need? Grin Grin Grin Grin

I should apologize for getting anyone's expectations up.  It was my idea to have that car in the display. Roll Eyes

Chris,

Ed @ Carlisle informed me yesterday that the A12 Special Display(Building Y) cars/owners will all get complimentary passes and be included in this year's program. One small detail he didn't tell me before is that they need applications filled out and a pic of the car by Friday so that they can include them in the program.

The following links are for the Carlisle forms and you can email them to Ed B.

If the car doesn't make it into the program it will still be included in the Building Y display, but the application still needs to go to Ed, either way.
Thanks,
Frank S.

The Mighty Mopar Legacy

They once roamed the face of the North American continent in great numbers. They were awesome, powerful beasts, shaking the earth beneath them. While they existed, they were feared by the weak. Their stay on this planet was brief - less than two decades. They are gone now - extinct. A few remain, like massive metal dinasaurs. They were the Mighty Mopars, and we will never see their like again.

I would say the car wasn't there and lets leave it at that, I don't see where piling on is going to make a difference.
There were quite a few more cars that didn't make it too and I don't see us calling out those owners too.

I do appreciate the effort of all the guys that made all the effort to get their cars there so we could all check them out. I am sure everyone who did had obstacles to overcome to get their car to Carlisle and it would have been easy for them at some point to say it just isn't worth it.

Thanks to all!!!   Smiley

I don't agree. Some of us were disappointed not to see Chris's car in the building. I was looking forward to meeting him. Also, this was by special invitation and on Chris's behalf so that he could be in the building and, I'm sure in an effort to involve him in our group. I know there are reasons but where else could any of us with an A12 enjoy having our cars on display as much as at the 40th anniversary of these limited production cars. This was the one show that would have been worth bringing it to? As far as a photo, I've seen photos of the green Runner on Moparts before. It would have taken 10 minutes to fill out the form and attach a photo. No other confirmation was necessary. Everything was waiting at the registration desk like clockwork. I guess we have to just be willing to accept the fact that he has other interests. After everything that was said and done, I don't blame Frank or anyone who supported Chris for being disappointed at the no show.  Apparently, we'll have to go to the dragstrip to meet Chris and wait until he sells the car until we can see it at a show?

Not every a12 owner has a 'need' to be part of the 'group'.

It would have been a cool car to see, but then again, who cares?  There were plenty of nice rides there that the owners were willing to bring.  Just about every one has a cool story too.  There were 2 cars in particular that I was really hoping to see this year.  Mainly the Grotheer car.  I have never seen it in person, and I was hoping the owner would have brought it to such a great event.  The 2nd car I would have loved to have seen there is my old car, now owned by mike R.   I would love to see that car finally come full circle.  It has been off the road for over 20 years.  A practically one off color combo and heavily optioned.  I would put it back as per the tag except for ditching the girlymatic column shift and putting a stick in it.  Maybe one of these years it'll live again.
