Mopar by a Barn

Heres a 68 Charger R/T 440 auto R4 right after bringing it home. A friend of mine gave it to me so I couldnt pass it up, just a lot of work hauling it from the bottom pasture it spent the last 20 so odd years in. Not sure why I messed with it, I guess it's human greed  Grin It still has the VIN and fender tag attached.

I just looked at this post and it reminds me of a red 68 or 69 charger that sat in Floyd county, IA by a fence line under trees from when I was really young, 7 or 8 years old, mid 70's I would guess.  We would drive by that place and I'd be looking out the window imagining that the car had a motor, and hood and might someday be 'available'.  As it was, it sat there for the better part of 20 years and maybe 10 years ago or so it was finally pulled out of there, I think by the sons of the owner.  Same person had a red 73 cuda in a pasture right next to the blacktop road.  Hood was off and propped next to the car and it also sat for probably 15 years, give or take a few, until it was moved at around the same time as the charger.

The Mighty Mopar Legacy

They once roamed the face of the North American continent in great numbers. They were awesome, powerful beasts, shaking the earth beneath them. While they existed, they were feared by the weak. Their stay on this planet was brief - less than two decades. They are gone now - extinct. A few remain, like massive metal dinasaurs. They were the Mighty Mopars, and we will never see their like again.

Is the car saveable? The fenders made it look like a really hard hit, but are the frame rails good?

Originally from Oh but lived in Northern Ky last couple decades. It's gone now, someone from Co bought it to restore. The unibody wasnt all bent up just very rusty, with all the new AMD metal now I guess it can be resurected, but not by me, I've had it with rust buckets!
